TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Meta has launched three new artificial intelligence (AI) features designed to enhance the functionality of the mobile application from the Facebook platform. This step is taken as part of the company's strategy to integrate AI technology into the social media experience and creative content creation for its users.
The main feature introduced is the AI Mode. This is a smart search similar to Google's browsing mechanism. This mode is able to answer various user questions on Facebook by filtering information from public data scattered across the Meta ecosystem.
In addition to that feature, Meta has also embedded updates to the photo system on its social media platform, which can now edit collage segment templates and new transition effects to produce smooth cinematic-style videos. "Like most other technology companies today, Meta is increasingly integrating AI into its various products," said the report from Android Authority on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Then the third innovation focuses on providing visual creative tools in the form of AI-based photo presets. Through this feature, users can digitally change and adjust hair styles, clothing, and accessories in their photos more easily.
Many consider the presence of these three new features to further affirm the global technology industry trend of increasingly injecting artificial intelligence into daily consumer products. Facebook users now have a wider range of tools to be creative as well as to explore information within a single mobile application container.
