
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three different groups in society are set to hold protests in Jakarta on Monday, June 22, 2026. These three groups are the Central Board of the Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PB PMII), the Jakarta Community Alliance, and the National Coalition for Agrarian Reform (KNARA).
Each group has different demands. PB PMII is calling for a total evaluation of the Merah Putih Cabinet led by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. On the other hand, the Jakarta Community Alliance supports the implementation of free nutritious meals, while KNARA is demanding the establishment of the National Agrarian Reform Body (BNARA).
PB PMII
The mass from PB PMII will demonstrate at the Horse Statue in Central Jakarta on Monday afternoon, June 22, 2026. The rally, titled "#Total Evaluation of the Merah Putih Cabinet Prabowo-Gibran", will be held until Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
"The action will be carried out simultaneously at approximately 300 points throughout Indonesia," wrote a post on the PB PMII Instagram account @pmiiofficial on Sunday, June 21, 1026.
They are demanding five things:
1. Uphold the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution
2. Restore Public Trust
3. Strengthen National Economic Independence
4. Reshuffle and Efficiently Restructure the Cabinet According to Competence and Authority, and Reset BGN
5. Disband the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives and Welfare for Teachers.
Jakarta Community Alliance
As quoted by Antara, the Jakarta Community Alliance plans to hold a peaceful rally in the Monas area, Jakarta, on Monday, June 22, 2026. The agenda includes a long march from the front of the US Embassy to the Monas Crossroads.
Their demands are:
1. Support for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program
2. Urging the government to impose maximum penalties on the corruptors of the MBG funds
KNARA
KNARA will carry out rallies from Riau, Jambi, Lampung, West Java, Jakarta, South Sulawesi, to South Sumatra. As mentioned on the @knara.id Instagram, they will protest fiercely against the continued agrarian injustice oppressing the common people. In Jakarta, the rally will be held around Monas, Central Jakarta.
Their demands are:
1. Oppose the Greedy Economics
2. Uphold Pancasila
3. Uphold Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution
4. Enforce Law No. 5/1960 on Agrarian Reform
5. Establish the National Agrarian Reform Body (BNARA)
