TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Dozens of investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) emerged from the two-story shop-house office of Klitz Tour and Travel in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon, June 10, 2026. Carrying two large suitcases, they immediately got into their vehicles and left the premises.

KPK acting Director of Investigation Brig. Gen. Achmad Taufik Husein said the search of Klitz was related to an extortion case involving officials of the Directorate-General of Immigration. Ten companies have become subjects of the KPK investigation. "These private entities are agencies that handle immigration document processing," he said.

Klitz is one of 10 service agencies uncovered following the arrest operation against several Immigration employees in Jakarta, West Java, and Bali on June 2-3, 2026. The KPK has also searched other agency offices. Initially, some company representatives were detained. However, the KPK currently considers them victims of extortion. "That is why they were released," Taufik said.

The search of Klitz's office was not a one-time operation. An employee at Klitz said the KPK had already searched the office and questioned the company's
owner and other employees several days earlier.
